Teens! Drop in at the Latcham Gallery August 8-11 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for our Teen Open Studio and get creative for free. Join us each day for our many exciting activities that are sure to bring out the artistic side in everyone. From designing and creating leaves for our large-scale community project, to making buttons and creating a community mural, there won’t be a dull moment. With our amazing summer students leading the week, there will always be someone to help.
We’re welcoming teens of all artistic levels to take part in art activities while listening to the latest hits and enjoying snacks. You don’t have to be an amazing artist to design a leaf or to create a button – the main thing is to have a fun time.
Each day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library will be hosting Digital Destinations at the Gallery, a fun green screen activity where you can pick any background to pose in front of. From a picture of you lounging on the beach to one with you chilling with your favourite artists, the possibilities for this activity are endless.
Throughout the week you will be able to use your imagination to create a leaf with anything you want on it, and with supplies ranging from special art paper to feathers, there really are no limits to what you can do. Using our cool button-maker you can create a button (or ten) that express who you are and what you love. Or maybe you want to help paint a mural with your friends.
This teen drop-in week is completely free of charge, with snacks and all the supplies you need provided. So make sure to drop into the Gallery at 6240 Main Street Stouffville and stay for an hour – or the whole day!
