The annual Chili Cook Off at Eastridge Church is a great way to meet people and taste some great chili recipes.
The ninth annual Chili Cook Off will be held on Saturday, March 25 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Eastridge Church, 12485 Tenth Line North in Stouffville.
Why should you come to the Chili Cook Off or why should you enter a chili? Come and meet many other people from our community. It is a casual, informal way to meet many other people from our community or to just come and taste some great chili recipes.
If you like fun competition and bragging rights, enter a chili. To register, go on to the eastridge.ca website to down load the submission form. Email it to: firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject ‘Chili Cook-Off’. Or fax it to: 905-640-3925, or call: 905-640-3911.Entries must be in by March 22.
Judges will be selecting from five categories: Traditional, Hottest, Vegetarian, Most unique ingredients and the most prestigious award, the People’s Choice.
If you like to judge others’ cooking, then come out and vote for the best Stouffville chilis around. Last year there were more than 40 chili entries and over 400 attendees. Admission is $5 and includes chilli, a hotdog and drink. Children under 12 are free. All proceeds go to the Teen Challenge Women’s Centre in York Region.
