Brother Tandem Prevails at Ohio BMX Showdow


Twelve year old Jonathan Morrison (left) took first place in the Beginner Division, while his 14 year old brother Dylan captured the Intermediate honours at the Battle for the Midwest BMX competition in Butler, Ohio April 8. Dylan, a grade 9 student at Stouffville District Secondary School, will travel to Montpelier, France for the Festival International Sport Extreme (FISE) world event May 24-28, competing with athletes from 25 countries. Dylan won the gold medal in the Junior Division at last year’s FISE competition in Edmonton. With BMX Freestyle to be included in the 2018 Olympics, Dylan and his fellow Canadian BMX riders are petitioning the Canadian Olympic Committee to enter a team.
