Holiday Heroes Food and Toy Drive Returns
The York Regional Police Holiday Heroes Food and Toy Drive returns for its 9th year this Holiday Season. The campaign, which has raised more than $1 million in monetary donations, new toys, new children’s clothing and food since its inception in 2008, runs from November 14 to December 16. As always, all donations raised in York Region stay in York Region as 100 per cent of donations directly support the children from our community who are in need. Our collaborative efforts will provide holiday cheer to the thousands of families who have registered for assistance through the local Salvation Army programs.
Members of the public can drop off new unwrapped toys, new children’s clothing, gift cards, Canadian Tire money or monetary donations at any York Regional Police facility including the Whitchurch-Stouffville Community Substation at 111 Sandiford Drive in the Town Offices building. Drop off hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Donations of toys or Canadian Tire money are also being accepted at participating Canadian Tire stores and other local businesses throughout York Region.
Corporate partners wishing to participate in the Holiday Heroes program can contact firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Participating companies will be provided with Holiday Heroes signs, designated pick-up date, and recognition as a sponsor.
