Renovations at Latcham Hall completed
The doors to Latcham Hall have reopened for community use. In July 17, 2012, Council authorized staff to update the facility. Renovations included additional activity space, removal of the stage, levelling and replacement of the main hall floor, upgrades and replacement to the kitchen cupboards and appliances, renovations and expansion to the existing men’s and ladies washrooms to meet accessibility requirements and new flooring in the main hall.
Latcham Hall is the interim location of the Silver Jubilee Club and will continue to accommodate other community users such as the Brownies and the Stouffville Lions during the week and leisure services programs on weekends.
The Hall was original constructed in 1970 by the Stouffville Lions Club with the financial support of Arthur Latcham, an honourary member of the Club. February 16, 2013 marked the Stouffville Lions Club 75 years of serving the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.
More information regarding the renovated facility is available in Report #5 of the February 12th agenda.
The Lions will be celebrating their 75 years of service to the town on Sunday April 14 at the Legion Hall.
