Spirit wrap up season with loss to Aurora
The Stouffville Spirit wrapped up their 2012-2013 season Thursday with a 4-1 loss to the North Division Champions, Aurora Tigers.
It marked the first time in over 12 years the Spirit failed to make the playoffs in the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The Spirit finished the year 18-37 after winning the Championship last year.
The team lost numerous graduates last summer that thinned out the team’s productivity. Only four players from last year’s team were on the team last week.
Daryl Thomson had the lone spirit goal Thursday.
The Spirit’s spring rookie camp is a the Stouffville Arena May 3.
